William Neches, M.D. will be the next person featured on Chautauqua People.
The program will air at 1:30 and 7:30 PM each day beginning on June 27 with the last airing on July 3.
Bill Neches is a native of Brooklyn, NY and enjoyed a career as a pediatric cardiologist. As a young physician he was involved in the first pediatric heart transplant, and served a full academic career at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh after fellowship training at Texas Children’s Hospital. Now in retirement, he is a summer resident of Chautauqua Institution and was elected as President of the Chautauqua Property Owners Association in August 2014. During recent years he has been the leader of several demonstration projects to upgrade the street lighting at Chautauqua. These efforts were recognized in a new United States Department of Energy publication.
Dr. Neches will be interviewed by Chautauqua People Producer John Viehe.
