Laura Damon will be interviewed on the next episode of Chautauqua People. The program will air at 1:30 and 7:30 PM each day beginning on July 5 with the last airing on July 11.
Damon is the Convener of North Lake Informed Citizens and serves as a member of the Executive Committee of Chautauqua Property Owners Association. She regularly attends board meetings of local governmental agencies and has made numerous inputs to governmental actions leading to greater efficiencies while saving taxpayers millions of dollars.
Laura was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She graduated from Smith College, served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ghana, and received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Yale University. She has taught English at the University of Georgia and Niagara University. Upon retirement from Niagara Community College in 1998 she relocated to Chautauqua, NY.
