Jon Schmitz, ACA, is the next person to be featured on Chautauqua People.
The program will air at 1:30 and 7:30 PM each day beginning on August 15, with the last airing on August 21.
Jon is a native of Los Angeles, born to Canadian parents and American grandparents. He did his undergraduate work at Trent University, completed a masters and earned ABD status at the University of Toronto, and acquired a Certificate in Archival Practice from Georgetown. He served at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ontario prior to joining Chautauqua Institution where he is both the Archivist and Historian. He maintains the official records of Chautauqua Institution. Through a series of presentations and research support he enhances the experience of many Chautauquans and advances the Chautauqua concept throughout the United States.
